Before your set out on your weight loss journey, it’s best to approach it from a  place where your efforts will be maximized. What I mean by this is, say for example you enter the metaphorical doorway, you set your intention to “lose 40 pounds,” you either start a diet, or an exercise regimen, or you do your own thing. Do you want to set yourself up for failure or success?

You’re probably thinking, “Success, of course!”  Well great, you have a positive intention. But what happens to so many people when they start out on this journey is that they haven’t set the foundation. Their inner vibration is not in alignment with their desire of losing, or in my world, releasing weight. So the foundation ends up being cracked, or wobbly, or completely broken and dilapidated.

The most effective way to set the foundation for success is to get into the Zone from the starting gate! You may be familiar with the works of Abraham-Hicks; they call this place the Vortex.

Top 6 Reasons Why Diets Fail

Top 6 Reasons Why Diets Fail

During my 40 some odd years of struggling with my weight, I don’t think I ever stopped to ask the question:

grumpydiet

“Why do diets fail?”  It wasn’t until a few years ago that I began to investigate the possible reasons.

And this is what I came up with, my top 6 reasons why diets fail:

  1. Dieting is a short term solution.  Successful people don’t diet, they undergo a lifestyle change which includes a mind-set change!

With regards to dieting, we’ve all heard the phrase ‘lifestyle change,’ but seldom do we hear the term ‘mind-set change.’  A lifestyle is a way of living.  When you undergo a lifestyle change, you are living differently.  A mind-set change takes lifestyle change up a notch or two.  You are actually changing the way your mind reacts and responds to stimuli.  A lifestyle change is more about your physical activity as opposed to what’s driving you, and that’s your mind-set.  When you experience a mind-set change you are actually retraining your subconscious mind to that which will support the lifestyle change that you desire.  It makes living with your new lifestyle change natural, not forced. Your body and mind will be more aligned and living in harmony with each other. read more

Love and Forgiveness

Love and Forgiveness

You may ask yourself how love and forgiveness have anything to do with weight loss.  Well, if you consider weight loss as pertaining only to the physical body, I can see the thought process behind that.  However, remember weight loss, or more appropriately weight release, is more about YOU the WHOLE being, not just the body.forgiveness and love

When we hang on to any negative energy, it builds up in every tissue of our body, it takes hold in our energy centers and creates dis-ease, which can lead to disease.  When we forgive others or ourselves, we do it for us, not for the other person.  When we are brave enough to forgive, we are sending a very loud signal to ourselves that we place love above hatred, resentment, and anger. By doing this we are sending powerful messages of love to the Universe and ourselves.

Let’s clarify some things – we are not condoning the actions of another person, we are simply forgiving the person. You don’t have to call up the person to tell them you forgive them, this is all done privately within your own heart, mind, and soul.  Forgiveness is a form of release.  You are releasing the toxic emotions associated with your relationship, memory, or feeling for that person. Sending it on it’s way, clearing the way to fill your heart with love and respect for yourself.  You are healing!  When you heal and release toxic energies, you are lightening up.  When you lighten up, your body functions better. When you lighten up, many of your food obsessions begin to disappear.

After we work on forgiving others, it’s time to seek to forgive ourselves. This may actually feel more difficult than forgiving others, but when you finally take the time and effort to work through the process, you will create such a powerful energy shift within you that you will create ripples of healing and positive energy in your world.  Remember – your outer world is a reflection of your inner world.

Forgiveness = Love.  Love is the opposite of fear. Fear is ego based, love is spirit based. Coming from Spirit is the most powerful perspective to tackle any challenge or obstacle, including your weight loss goals.

Water is the very essence of life and drinking water for weight loss will not only assist you in your efforts, but your body will thank you!

You can live for a long time without food (protest hunger strikers have survived for over 10 weeks without anything to eat), but no-one can survive more than a few days without water.

The Perfect Quote

The Perfect Quote – for Your Weight Loss Goals

Have you ever come across a quote that describes a key element to what you’re feeling or discovering about yourself?  A quote that represents what is needed to achieve your weight loss goals?

Well since on the journey of truly discovering the keys to successful weight release I have stumbled upon a quote that could sum it allweight loss goals up in one simple sentence.  Not only does it apply to weight loss, but it applies to everything in life that we have not been able to achieve.  It perfectly articulates the event horizon within ourselves and our fear in letting go of old programs that keep us blocked. It encourages us to be brave when we come across those brick walls, and leads us to the place where we can find the sledge hammer.

“In order to access a warrior’s courage, we must explore why we are so committed to our story and what we are afraid will happen if we give it up.” — Debbie Ford

Those seemingly unattainable goals; it could be our food obsessions and weight problems, it could be lack of financial abundance, it could be our repeated failed relationships.  Anything really that is within us that we want to break free from.

The key lies in the discovery of what keeps us in our old story and what we are afraid of losing if that story changes.

Mindful Eating

Mindful Eating

Mindful eating is very similar to intuitive eating.  Intuitive eating is a broader philosophy, according to the Evelyn Tribole, and Elyse Resch, author’s of the Book  Intuitive Eating . “It includes physical activity for the sake of feeling good, rejecting the dieting mentality, using nutrition information without judgment, and respecting your body, regardless of how you feel about its shape.”   Whereby mindful eating, which is a component of intuitive eating, is a process of purposefully paying attention to the eating experience, not judging yourself in the process.

I have recently adopted the Intuitive eating lifestyle as well as totally embracing mindful eating.  Last night I made homemade pizza. Knowing full well that the body’s digestion is the strongest during mid day, I still chose to make the pizza for our evening meal.  Our read more

Weight Release vs. Weight Loss

Weight Release vs. Weight Loss

Weight Release vs. Weight Loss.  Is there really a difference between the two phrases?  Actually there is.  Energetically when you use the term loss – it sends messages of sadness.   The definition according to Webster’s dictionary is:  destruction, ruin. The act of losing aWeight release possession, deprivation.  The harm or privation resulting from loss or separation.  An interesting word used in the formal definition is the word Deprivation.  That is exactly how most diets make you feel – deprived; which is one of the reasons why diets fail.

With regards to Law of Attraction, when we lose something, we are energetically searching to get it back.

The definition of Release, on the other hand, is to set free from restraint, confinement, or servitude,  also to let go, dismiss.  To relieve from something that confines, burdens, or oppresses.  To give up in favor of another.

The most interesting definition for “release” is to relieve from something that confines, burdens or oppresses. Our weight can certainly confine us, oppress us and feel like a huge burden that we carry on our shoulders, as well as on our hips and thighs.

8 Steps to Intuitive Eating

Intuitive Eating

What is Intuitive Eating?

First off I can tell you what it’s not and then we’ll go from there.  It’s not overeating, it’s not dieting. It’s not binging or deprivation or even the next biggest weight loss craze.  Intuitive Eating means listening to your body’s signals.  Allow the inner wisdom to come out.  Eat only when you are hungry and eat only until you are satisfied.  When you adopt intuitive eating you will no longer take

part in the yo-yo diet syndrome.  You won’t need to!  If you are wanting long lasting weight release, transitioning towards intuitive eating is really the only way to go since diets fail time and time again.

Take those naturally thin people who live life by eating to live rather than living to eat. They are intuitive eaters. They are not obsessing about what they are eating, or what they should be eating or what they are going to eat for dinner.  They just enjoy, they don’t overeat and they live life fully! Their attention is on life, more than it is on food. Even if you love food and are a foodie, it can still be a passion for you, but in a totally different context. You don’t have to lose that part of yourself, we are merely removing the obsessive behavior and clearing the programs that are at the heart of your weight problem.

If you  have had  food obsessions, cravings, and compulsions that have controlled you all of your life, intuitive eating may seem like a dream.  If you are an emotional read more

EFT for Weight Loss – Doubt

EFT for Weight Loss – Doubt

Today we focus on Doubt in ourselves, that we can lose the weight we want and keep it off. I have discovered a limiting belief that is a core issue causing doubt that I can truly lose the weight and keep it off, and that belief was due to my age.  I am 49, going through peri- menopause and all I hear from women my age is how hard it is to lose weight at our age, or how hard it is to keep the weight off during menopause.  Well this is just a false belief, that has gained acceptance from so many people.  I choose to not accept this belief and I clear the doubt energetically.

I rewire my thoughts and configure my body, mind, and soul to be in vibrational alignment with  my desire of losing weight and keeping it off.  I released that doubt and now I have created a new mindset – a new belief!

What did you discover?
