Law of Attraction and Weight Release: Directing Your Thoughts


lawofattraction-directingthoughtsToday’s Law of Attraction Card is:  I am developing the skills to direct my thoughts.  When it comes to weight release and Law of Attraction this is the foundation.  It sounds easy right? Well for many people it takes training and practice to be the Masters of Thoughts, especially when it comes to our bodies or weight.  It can feel like an uphill battle to feel good about yourself when you recently put on 40 pounds, I know, I’ve been there. But it’s important to work towards this goal.


The most valuable skill you could ever develop is that of directing your thoughts towards what you want and to have an increased awareness level to realize when you’re slipping down the slippery slope of negative thinking. Sometimes negative thinking creeps up on you so fast that you don’t even realize you’re falling victim to the negative. I recently had a strategy session with a coach regarding money and business success, and I couldn’t believe the stories I have been telling myself, not to mention the level of my vibration regarding money and success. Holy Cow, and I am a certified Law of Attraction Coach!  But for so many of us coaches, we spot it in others, but don’t always see it in ourselves.

The message of today’s card is to be deliberate in your thinking. Be focused and aware. Keep in mind that it’s not enough to just think positive thoughts if your subconscious mind is saying the opposite. But when you consciously focus on shifting your thoughts and tuning in, you will begin to hear the gremlin voices of the subconscious mind, and then you can work to clear those old programs, beliefs, and stories.  That’s what I’ll be working on today.


However, much of the time the gremlin voices are hard to hear, that’s why working with a coach or mentor can be incredibly effective in doing the detective work and uncovering the gremlins. Once they’re out in the open, they can be cleared, and that’s when positive thoughts and feelings become a vibration changer.

  1. Hi Maryann. I’m always brilliant at spotting other people’s limited beliefs, but my own have always been more difficult to spot. Today I went for an interview with an employment agency, and spent quite a bit of time fretting about what to wear. And what was the inner dialogue (I’ve literally only just realised while reading your post):
    What can I fit into? What decent clothes have I got that I can squeeze into without looking too fat? Ahhhh! A better feeling thought is needed, although it’s hours too late, maybe how lucky I am that I have such lovely clothes that fit me so well, and I’m glad I’m starting to eat more healthily. Great post, wish I’d seen it this morning!! blessings, Andrea

  2. I find this so fascinating Maryann! Thank you for the reminder – that we need to DIRECT our THOUGHTS even if we believe in the LOA and think we are living accordingly! And, I love the picture :)

    Indeed, it’s a constant battle between our subconscious and what we can control, and I do believe that sharing and working with others is important. I always say, you can’t see the back of your head … you need others to tell you what’s going on out there … (I discovered that when I decided to go “natural” and discovered that the color “back there” was NOT the same as up front and what I was led to believe …)
