Halloween – A Day Where You Can Be Anything
I think my favorite thing about Halloween is that I can be anything I want. All I have to do is simply create a vision of what/who I want to be, write out my list of what I need to be this character, purchase the appropriate clothing, or don the mask, apply liberal amounts of make-up if required, and act the part!
I could be a super hero, a nurse, a nun, a celebrity, a famous person in history. Or I could be a bee, or a cat, or banana, or even Sponge Bob Square Pants.
Love and Weight Release
Loving ourselves is a large, and important part of weight release. Love and weight release truly do go together. However you may find it difficult loving yourself while being overweight.
You may feel anger that you “let yourself go like this” that you continue to punish yourself by eating more, not caring, or even despising yourself.
I know it can be difficult, you may be so used to beating yourself over your weight that you probably don’t know HOW to love yourself again. Or you may be beating yourself over other things from your past. read more
6 Top Reasons Why Diets Fail
“It’s called Diet because all of the other four letter words were taken” ~ Author Unknown
In my search for answers on my personal journey to release the weight and the food obsessions, I had to take a look at two types of people. One, the chronically overweight group, whom either have been heavy all of their lives, or they have a pattern of going through the insane cycle of dieting and losing weight, gaining the weight back, repeat, over and over in their lives. I definitely found a home in the latter sub-group. The second group is the naturally thin person.
Here’s my theory, a thin person, or more specifically a person with a thin mindset, doesn’t obsess over food, they don’t count calories, nor do they deprive themselves from the foods they want. They also aren’t bingers or emotional eaters, or overeaters. read more
A Watched Pot Never Boils
I am sure you’ve heard the phrase, “A watched pot never boils”, well that is not just some old saying that your Grandmother used to tell you when you were waiting for her homemade chocolate chip cookies to be finished baking! It’s pure, unadulterated wisdom. It applies to everything we do in life.
By constantly watching for the outcome of our desires, it seems like the end result never happens. We become extremely attached and too focused on the outcome that we actually create resistance to it showing up in our lives. This happens in every area of our lives, from our desired weight release goals, to our financial goals, to our career goals, and our relationship goals. read more
The Scale: Friend or Foe?
The dreaded bathroom scale can be our friend or it can be our enemy! It depends on how you use it.
So let’s just say for example, in Case Study 1: You don’t get on the scale for a while, but you notice your clothes aren’t fitting quite like they used to. If you reacted the same way I used to, you would steer clear from that thing, not coming the least bit close to it for fear of it biting off your big toe or something worse…actually finding out you gained fifteen pounds since the last time you visited it.
I would be so terrified of the scale that I avoided it at all cost. That was a huge mistake. By ignoring the ultimate reality, I only ended up gaining more and more weight until I couldn’t avoid the scale anymore. Judgement day would eventually arrive and I would have to get my yearly female physical, and that included stepping on the scale. Dear God, perhaps my clothing weighed 12 pounds. Yea, those jeans I wear are pretty heavy.
Case Study 1: Scale= Your Friend
Are you ready for Case Study 2? Well, here we go, in this example you are being very conscious of your eating and your exercising, and your goal is to release some weight. Do you find yourself on the scale three times a day? Do you find yourself weighing in the morning, going to the gym, coming home and weighing again? Do you obsess over every ounce? Do you find yourself magnetically drawn to that mood maker on the bathroom floor? Does the number on the scale affect your happiness level?
If you answered yes to those questions then the results are in: read more
Weight Release vs. Weight Loss
Weight Release vs. Weight Loss. Is there really a difference between the two phrases? Actually there is. Energetically when you use the term loss – it sends messages of sadness. The definition according to Webster’s dictionary is: destruction, ruin. The act of losing a possession, deprivation. The harm or privation resulting from loss or separation. An interesting word used in the formal definition is the word Deprivation. That is exactly how most diets make you feel – deprived; which is one of the reasons why diets fail.
With regards to Law of Attraction, when we lose something, we are energetically searching to get it back.
The definition of Release, on the other hand, is to set free from restraint, confinement, or servitude, also to let go, dismiss. To relieve from something that confines, burdens, or oppresses. To give up in favor of another.
The most interesting definition for “release” is to relieve from something that confines, burdens or oppresses. Our weight can certainly confine us, oppress us and feel like a huge burden that we carry on our shoulders, as well as on our hips and thighs.
Magical Living: Living Your Truth
A facet of Magical living is that we live with authenticity and live our truth.
However; we are conditioned to believe that if we speak up for what we need/want, especially women, we will rock the boat, cause friction, and/or lose the love of someone close to us. We worry that we will be misunderstood and we worry how others will be able to handle our authenticity. But rather than worrying about those around us and how they handle our truth, embracing our authenticity can be very rewarding and empowering, because ultimately it’s our life to live, not theirs. The only job that the people around us have is to honor their truth. When we live and speak our truth we embrace the core tenants of magical living. read more
Forgiveness is the Key
What is forgiveness the key of?
Forgiveness is the key to the door of your soul which opens the floodgates of Universal Abundance!
When we forgive others and ourselves we are freeing our mind, heart, soul, and chakras or energy centers. When we do this we are telling the Universe that we are moving towards the path of enlightenment, we are coming from a place of LOVE instead of fear and we are lightening our load, we are releasing the prisoner within us!
When we forgive, our whole being opens up to abundance. It opens up to the manifesting of our desires. Resentment, anger, guilt, shame, jealousy, they all act like gunk in machinery. Energy doesn’t flow to us effortlessly, we feel like life is always a struggle, it’s a challenge to manifest our desires, and magical living is far from reality. When we clear the gunk, release it – we break free from the chains, we open up to the higher power and energy of love. Our world begins to change!
That leads to the question – HOW do we forgive? read more
